So I managed to get it in hand and ran it through a transformation, but the mechanism to disengage Saber from the V-Star doesn't function, so I can't get him back to bot mode.

Anyone have a tip or did I lose the QC lottery twice?

Is this from combined ship mode? I remember that being a bit annoying on my returned copy. I don't think Saber gets stuck as much in torso mode.
