TF4 AOE Comics?

All the other movies had comic book prequels/sequels/adaptations...

Isnt there an AOE comic book line coming?

The Movie ties in comics were pretty great and always expanded a lot on the movie Lore... Heck some characters were introduced in the movie (Brain) and was used in the movie, where ppl that never read the comics kind have a clue who brain is and how important he was and where he came from... But I'm surprised no TF4 comic book line seems to be available yet...

Anyone has news?

It was stated some time ago that there would be no comics tie-in to Age-of-Extinction. Michael Bay said is about a year ago (which I only take with a grain of salt) but them IDW confirmed it a few months ago.

I agree completely about the comics though, the prequel/sequel comics really expanded on some of the characters that otherwise had little or no screen time/character development in the films. As for the movie adaption, I'd rather READ the adaption of RotF than actually WATCH the movie again.

Re: TF4 AOE Comics?

A true shame, honestly the comics were some of the best things to come out of the movies.

IDW passed up on an easy four issue mini series? That is very surprising considering they just wrapped up ReGeneration and Dark Cyberton story arcs.

I suspect part of it is Bay wanting to keep the script tighter to the vest this go round and the other may be due to IDW officially considering the DotM adaptation as the final entry in the movieverse comics. (Considering they never planned any official sequels to it and stuff.)
