Re: The Anime Thread!

Does anybody have the Anime On Demand channel? What's on it? And is it worth the monthly fee?

Kon was a legend and a true master of the art of animation. For me he represented some of the best of what Japanese animation has to offer and his contributions to the art form will be missed immensely. My deepest feelings and condolences go out to his friends and family, I just hope he was not in much pain these last couple of months.

The only thing I can say is even though he's gone at least his spirit lives on in the wonderful body of work he left behind. Let's hope Kon's legacy and contributions also live on and inspire the next generation of anime creators and filmmakers.

Agreed. While I didn't like everything Satoshi Kon did, I recognize that he was a visionary director with a very unique style of storytelling that I haven't seen any where else. He will be missed. I now wonder what will happen to the movie he was working on when he died.

Tokyo Godfathers is the only movie by Kon that I have yet to see. Millennium Actress though is one of my favourite anime movies.

*spoiler alert* Comments on Gundam 00 movie

I just watched the movie on animecrazy website and I think it was good and dramatic. Although I do agree with some fans that the ending was not proper, but I deal with it. Although it would be nice if there is another small expansion stories from the movie on what happened to all the other characters at the same time around the ending of the movie if you know what I mean. Did anyone make an expansion story on the movie yet? What do you guys think about the movie?

Re: The Anime Thread!

Lol. I just found out about it now. I really would have liked to check that out. Man, I still remember going on an Evangelion marathon once over the course of a week. Good times.

Finished Neon Genesis Evangelion... please tell me there's more. There must be.

Also, started Trigun. Pretty good so far.
