MP-29 Shockwave... Shipping/Release Speculation and Enthusiasm Thread

Shockwave has had his Con Symbols on various parts of his body, G1 Toon was on his arm where as the Comic had it on his chest and arms.

Shockwave and Soundwave should be smaller than Prime and Megatron and they both should be taller than seekers but not by much, now Shockwave should be a tiny bit shorter than Soundwave but that is my opinion

I always thought he was Soundwave's height, but I guess according to the charts he's between Starscream and Soundwave in height. So the toy got it right.

I'm really looking forward to have this one in hand. The colour is my only (minor) concern. I believe it's darker than the first pics show. As long as it's just a shade darker I'm good with it. Height wise I believe he's perfect. And while I'm not overly keen on stickers, I am thankful that we aren't stuck with forearm logos and we're given the choice as to where Shockwave displays his allegiance.

I'm probably just going to leave the stickers off in any case, but I'll take a look at some clips from the cartoon first. He should have a faction symbol somewhere, but my only concern is how well the sticker will wear once placed. None of my other MPs have stickers (well, at least I haven't applied any if there were) and going by main line stickers, I hope they've provided us with good quality ones.

I'm waiting to hear with AE has these ready for shipment. It's the last one of my four MP haul I've been waiting for since Tracks

In the cartoon the insignias were usually on the forearms. I prefer it on his shoulder but I don't know if it was ever there.

Well as I slavishly avoid adding shoulder cannons to my Prowl and G1 toy accurate Reprolabels to everybody. Painted the eyes on my Hasbro Soundwave and leave my MP Grimlock with animation accurate blue eyes my MP display has never had room for any embellishments in favour of how the glaringly inaccurate G1 toys appeared compared to the show.

So for me I think a pair of symbols on his forearms in the style that best matches the tampoed symbols on Soundwave and Starscream will be the way I must go. Though I do think symbols on his shoulders manage to look better aesthetically.

However I sincerely hope even those devoted to having their MP's look like the toys rather than the animation would eschew putting the faction symbol on his chest. That is just so very unfortunate looking in both modes.

I gotta say I'll be keeping mine clean this time around. The symbol on his chest is too big, the ones on his forearms are too distracting. I decide to go with anything, it'll be like the comic.
