Actually, I just made that up. All I cared about was getting your Power Rangers toys ASAP. As many as possible.

Still remembering the Aquarion...

Re: Do some collectors scare you

In all honesty, I've only ever come across the maybe two or so that fit your range of stereotypical toy collector OP; actually make that one since Ritalin Kid is probably 100 lbs soaking wet at best. By the way, is bag lady coming back again this year? I'm rambling here....

And yeah, I (and I'm sure a majority of the attendees here) go more to hangout at the Con and get wasted (well Bruce Lee anyways does ). If you think discussing a hobby (regardless of whether it's toys or not) amongst fellow hobbyist is weird and out of the norm, no offense, but maybe it's time to reconsider it and move on perhaps?.

Re: Do some collectors scare you

I personally don't have any close friends that collect. I dont really have anyone else to talk to in person about the hobby I love. My girlfriend listens politely but there's just no back and forth stimulating transformers discussion. I personally would love some friends to discuss transformers so I dont feel your pain, sorry. This year will be my 2nd Tfcon and im going hoping to meet people. I see the brotherhood of honest, kind , passionate and unique individuals that are the product of conventions like Tfcon. Maybe you should just take your ball and go home.

MISB Collectors. That`s another subgroup within a subgroup. Don`t open nor play with their toys, weird eh?

Although, I disagree with them, it`s cool to see their collection display.

Don't like people who go to Transformers fan conventions?

Stay home.

The rest of us won't miss you at all.

I think it applies to this discussion. Growing old is inevitable. Growing up is optional.

Re: Do some collectors scare you

I believe if it makes you happy then do it. Who gives a frack what anyone's opinion is? You shouldn't. Be proud, be happy and live your live how you want. It bothers me more when people are all I'm 35 and I still buy ____. It's like. Why are you telling me this. I don't care if you are 95 and you buy say a Barbies. It's your money and it makes you happy, do what you want.

I seriously don't understand the whole 'at a certian age' you can't do this, wear this, buy this, play with this, etc anymore' horse radish. Seriously, says who? Society? Screw them. They are just jealous because they are unhappy and don't like seeing anyone else enjoy life.
