Renderform Retro Axe for G1 Optimus Prime

Hey guys. Wanted to share photos and info on my first little casting project, the Retro Axe for G1 Optimus Prime. Below are the two versions. A show accurate design from the original G1 pilot, and a Takara reissue design. The axes are hand finished, with a polish. These are garage kit style items, so colors and other details vary from each individual axe. I'll be selling them for $10 each, plus a flat rate $1.25 for shipping. The reissue style is limited until the mold is no longer good. The show accurate style is not limited. PM me if your interested.

Special thanks to Foxw for all his help with getting me started off in the world of mold making and castings. And to Reprolabels for the new stickers for my G2 Prime.

Order info:

Each axe is $10, plus shipping.

Shipping to Canada is $1.25.
Shipping to the US is $2.35.
Shipping anywhere else is $4.45

7 Reissue axes left!
0 Show Accurate axes left.

I have a bunch of "reject" axes. They didn't meet my standards. But some of these look exactly like the ones I've been selling. The only problem is that their bendy. If your just going to display them, their totally fine for that. If interested, I can sell them for $7.50 each plus shipping.

Reissue Style

Bravo!

Love the meta-homage pic of Prime wielding two axes against Megatron and Starscream.

PM'd you with my order!

Thanks Chans! There are some seam residue left on the blades. Their hard to get rid of entirely. But most of it blends in, after polishing the axes. The only other option would be to take big chunks out of the axes because of them, lol.

Re: Renderform Retro Axe for G1 Optimus Prime

I picked up two of the Reissue Style axes today and I'm convinced that no wide release Has/Tak/Tomy-made accessory for G1 Prime would even come close to what Venksta has achieved.

The axe plugs into my G1 Prime's hand socket with a precision that reflects the high quality handmade artistry and craftsmanship that went into the creation and production of this excellent piece.

High quality plastic was used and the consistent colouring and shape is uncanny when compared to T/F-C 00 Convoy's axe from which the Reissue Style "RF-001 Retro Energy Axe" was based.

So treat yourself (and your G1 Prime) and pick one of these up while you still have a chance. Heck...pick up 2 while you're at it.

After all, like his Bay Movieverse counterpart, even G1 Prime has to take on more than one assailant from time to time. Why not ensure he's armed accordingly with two kick-ass axes rather than one?

Highly Recommended!!!

(Pssst...There's a pleasant surprise awaiting you packaging-wise. Buy one and find out!)

They look great Venksta,I may have to pick up one of those show accurate axes. How is the classic prime set coming along? I cannot wait for that one, that and the megatron set.
