Canadian Shipping is as bad as the TTC, canadapost eat it.
Is there anyone else here that thinks CanadaPost is crap?
Even with ExpressPost shipping, my package is now 4 days late.. and I live in Toronto?! It must really be bad for ppl in more remote areas of Canada..
Anyways, just a normal package coming from BC...
and the worst part is that it is NOT even arrived. My mailroom has confirmed and what is being listed on canadapost is not fact.

I'm not complaining about the delivery time, I'm just tired of incompetent deliverymen who just say that they tried delivering. They said that they left a notice card last week on Wednesday, the day that it was supposed to be delivered, but it wasn't until the next day that I got the notice.
They didn't even try to attempt a delivery!

Re: Canadian Shipping is as bad as the TTC, canadapost eat it.
I've received notification cards on a Sunday, when I've been home, and had it just left in my mailbox silently...I considered that strange.
Also, tracking is occassionally useless. I bought something from calgary, and it was scanned twice, once when accepted at the post office, and once when sent out for delivery. I thought tracking would give me updates along the way, apparently not. :-p

Has been good over here. When something is too big to go into the mail lockbox for packages, they have knocked on the door.

It was delivered within four business days from BC to ON; it's more or less in line with the transit for Xpresspost/Expedited.

xpresspost is supposed to take 4-6 days? thats crap!
What is normal canadian land post supposed to take? a month?
wait, thats more or less in line with the TTC's service level, considering I have been late to the office about 4x a week...
sounds like they must be run by the same unions..

Actually...
http://www.canadapost.ca/Personal/Pr...ducts.aspx#Cda
Quote:
Xpresspost is a service for documents and parcels that provides delivery next day local, next day to 2 days regional, and 2 days national, between most major urban centres. Customers can ship any item by Xpresspost, provided the item:
- meets the size and weight specifications for this service
- is properly prepared and packaged
- does not contain any prohibited mail or a dangerous good.
Xpresspost must be shipped in Canada for delivery in Canada.

Service and delivery times has seemed to worsen this season. I take those delivery standards with a grain of salt nowadays.
Canada Post is the cheapest form of delivery you can get, nothing you can do about it. Unless they keep on jacking up prices.

Re: Canadian Shipping is as bad as the TTC, canadapost eat it.
Xpresspost is guaranteed 2-3 business days for national (i think thats right) Its obvious it took longer than that, Canada Post has a guarantee if you do not receive Xpresspost within the guranteed days you are entitled to a refund you paid for the shipping.
Go and get your money back

This is a first I've ever heard, has anyone had any success?
Does it also include international Xpresspost? Int'l is up to 14 business days (And I have had something delivered that long), aka almost 3 weeks...Not "Xpress" IMO.
