From the couple pics I have looked at it looks like the main difference is actually the eyes, one has narrowed angry/searching eyes. I'd say there's still a chance for the jaw to be hinged depending on what they do for the final toy. Considering the way the head folds in for transformation I think it's a possibility.

MP Optimus Primal is the first ever Masterpiece figure I've ordered directly from Japan. I only have 5 G1 Masterpiece figures. Needless to say the BW MPs are probably the only MPs I'll go completest on.

Similar. I recently got my first mps. Got the g2 ones; then a great deal netted me rodimus so I grabbed the Magnus reissue to go with him. For me no real interest in the rest, but primal is pre-ordered, cheetor will be, and can't see myself passing up other bw mps.
