Awesome haul for me today:
-Metal Build 00 Qan[T] [MISB, from ManSoul Hobby]


Totally overpaid for this one; I missed the original preorders from JP retailers, then panicked because I was afraid of not being able to secure him at all, so I took a gamble and preordered from a place in HK. I think I actually would've SAVED money if I waited until it was in-stock at Nippon-Yasan, and paid their already inflated in-stock price. Oh well. Live and learn.

But this figure is GORGEOUS (would've royally sucked if I overpaid AND the figure was ass), so I've stopped thinking about the cost.

Yeah, it's lots of fun and scratches that Advance Wars itch I've been having.

I don't know if I would of been able to play this with a guide to help with translation. It was a little overwhelming at first reading through all the mechanics, systems, and terms this game uses. Once you get it, it's fine, but that initial jump and if it was also in Japanese, I probably would have stopped.

I also missed preorders. It's nearly impossible now, especially for hot ticket, super limited items like this after the changes Amiami made to when preorders go live.

I really really want this guy, but it's so much on the after market, and I'm trying to spend less this year.

As I'm typing this I find it used on Amiami for 29,980 Yen before shipping..... and I thought about it for a hot minutes and clicked the order button. I really regret that decision right now, but what's done is done.

I managed to snag that Legacy Communicator for $40 brand new. Got a great deal on Road Rage too.

It is a really awesome figure, though. It's a bit fiddly because it does the whole Quantum Burst mode, so a lot of the armor is removable intentionally, and tends to pop off sometimes even if you're not trying to remove them.
Can't wait for the inevitable Tamashii Exclusive Full Saber add-on option set.

Legacy Communicator for $40 is amazing. I've been wanting to get one as well, but could never justify the cost.

And awesome getting Cal Dodd's autograph. I think if I had to get him to sign anything, I'd bring in my CPS2arcade board to Marvel Super Heroes, since he voices both Wolverine and Captain America in that game.

Holy crap this game is fun. And as an old-school DragonBall fan, tons of fan service in there.
My biggest handicap in the game is due to the fact that I'm not familiar at all with the ArcSys baseline of fighters (was never a GuiltyGear/BlazBlue player), and about 90% of my fighting game experience/muscle memory is from Capcom fighters...
Just not looking forward to tons and tons of DLC characters...

Yeah, I mean I've seen Kamen Rider belts that cost far less than what the Legacy Communicator usually goes for, and that's including international shipping. So for 129, I was REAL iffy on it, especially when I can get a prop one custom made for far less too. I dunno, 40-60 feels like the price that this should've been in the first place.
