Dak lives for this stuff, and makes awesome custom toys. If you don't really care, or arn't sure what you are doing, it's probably just best to leave it how it is. But I'm sure Dak could give you better advice than I.

I did it too, but a little differently. Not much risk of breaking anything. My way took more screws, but i couldn't seem to pull it off this way.
