ebay problem... what can I do...

Ok so I brought an item off ebay for about $40, regularly goes for around $90-150 BINS... Seller goes and charges me $55 for ship with $9 for insurance...

I keep arguing with him that I want it shipped to my address in the states & I want the $25 ship listed in the auction... He sends me this back again

"
sorry for the message the shipping charge is $55 i can get it ship to anywhere in us
"
First he was saying the $55 was for ship to canada ... which no way its that much... it could be done for $25 shipped to canada with tracking and insurance OR LESS!

SO I'm like no I want it shipped to the u.s. for the $25 stated in the auction

& then I get this...

"
sorry that item i have it on second offer for it. that mean is sold for someone else
"

What?! huh?! I didn't even know /think you COULD do that on ebay... Really the item sold for less than he thought & he was trying to screw me with the ship to make up for his profit & now hes saying its sold...

Well if it was sold why was he STILL trying to get payment from me huh?.. Is there some way I can get ebay on this guys ass and get him kicked off or something?..

I was also wondering if the new rules have kicked in yet & I can leave him a negative he so rightly earned with out getting one back...

If you value your feedback cut your loses & get out while you can, eBay will not get involved to the point that will satisfy you.
Yes he's breaking rules but if you don't pay or report him to eBay he can STILL leave you a neg.
Obviously the guy is a hack...why bother ?

^^ Yeah, I agree you should just cut your losses while you can. Clearly he's screwing around with you, but unfortunately Ebay is such a hack job at times. This seller doesn't seem to good, so if you can get out of this unscathed, you may want to do so. I don't know if you did this, but I always message a seller about shipping, etc. before I bid and get a quote for it, regardless of what it says on the auction. If they don't respond in a reasonable time with a quote, I don't bid, no matter how much I want the item. I've been screwed before, so I take no chances anymore.

Awesome. I can't stand dishonest sellers. Another thing I can't stand are reserves. Must shut up before going on ebay rant.

WOW I'm surprised, usually eBay staff treat these situations with 1950's robot mentality.
Good for you.

That sounds like a total case of " I don't have what I'm saying I do I'm just trying to get your money."
