Masterpiece Transformers coming to North America

I've heard Masterpiece Soundwave is now confirmed to be coming to North America. Has there been any announcement if Sideswipe or Red Alert are coming as well?

Re: Masterpiece Transformers coming to North America

MP Soundwave is scheduled for sometime either around Christmas or in early 2014 as it will have all the cassettes and is usually released approximately 6 months after the Takara releases (the final cassette release being dropped in late April/early May).

MP Sideswipe and Red Alert is not slated to be released by Hasbro due to issues with licensing the Lamborghini brand and design image. The Takara line is sold out everywhere (including with us) but we are trying desperately to get some additional units.

You can still find MP Red Alert and Sideswipe units around - I was over at BBTS last night and saw they still had in stock on 1 of them as does TF Source.

Sorry to correct you, but they actually don't... I would rather not get the hopes of the community up for what "may be". BBTS has had a preorder for MP12 up, but they are sold out again. We have a relationship with them and they have advised that there will not be any extras as it was slated to be an extremely limited second run.

TFSource have a preorder up for Red Alert because they MIGHT get some more, but there is a chance that it won't happen at all, as per their disclaimer listed below. If they do get some, then we will certainly work with them to get some for everyone.

Do not choose pay now with this item. Current price is a preorder only price! There is also a possibility this item will not be produced, or sold through other channels causing a price change, details will be confirmed in mid-June, if you preorder before details are final you can cancel at any time, just email TFsource with your cancellation request!
Also, the other links:

We are continuing to look for other options to bring some of these into Canada for the Fandom, as are the other retailers on these boards.

Still easy to find on Ebay though. I think I've seen Red Alert in a store in BC, can't remember if it was A3U or Metropolis Comics.

Re: Masterpiece Transformers coming to North America

Ah that sucks. Is it mainly a licensing issue? Any idea if this could effect the chances of Prowl etc... coming over too?

Re: Masterpiece Transformers coming to North America

I think most cars will have difficulty coming over so you may have to stick with the Takara releases.

Bruticus: As of posting time they are sold out but when I posted that they weren't
So no correction needed just time passes is all.

But as others have pointed out the units are still available through other sources excluding Ebay.
