Re: Star Wars Discussion (Ep 7, Rogue One, Rebels & More!)
Nope, the CG didn't work for me at all in Tarkin's case. It was immediately apparent. It got to a point where I was completely distracted from his dialogue, I'm not even sure what he said to be honest. I thought they gave him far too much dialogue in my mind. Visually, I think it was fine but something about the facial gestures/muscles that gave it way, and how his speech was somewhat offset compared to his facial movements. If anything it felt like a good video game cut scene but stuck out like a sore thumb when interacting with real life actors. Oh well. The movie was good though.

Umm, IMHO you should probably preface things like this with spoiler warnings. I know it's a small thing but some people still prefer not to know.

Re: Star Wars Discussion (Ep 7, Rogue One, Rebels & More!)
Just out of screening #2, some more thoughts:
That IS the Vader I always wanted.
Oh hi, Red Leader and Gold Leader from Ep IV ANH!
So many scenes from the trailers / featurettes that are not in the final cut. Were they excised by the much publicized reshoots?
THE best space battles in all of the films, hands down.

Bought the Rogue One Visual Dictionary at Costco today for $20.99 plus tax. Guess I should watch the movie first. I'll be seeing it tonight

LOL at my prediction from April. Although not entirely accurate, perhaps my Midichlorian count isn't zero anymore?

I thought I also said that every one in the R1 would die...
Except Evazan and Ponda Baba. They managed to escape Jedha and went to Mos Eisley on Tatooine.
