Re: Foam G1 style Ravage.
very nice! reminds me of the Optimus I made years ago.
Do you work for a specific company for your prop making? or is it more personal work? I work in props for film/TV in toronto.

Re: Foam G1 style Ravage.
Thank you, I appreciate the compliment. At the moment it is just me, I started building 4 years ago, I am a stay at home father, but now my kids are all at school and my wife is at home I am looking for any kind of work, and trying to get my builds seen and do some commission work when ever I can.

Re: Foam G1 style Ravage.
Can I ask what you're using for joints?
How "soft" will he be when he's done? I'm not familiar with that material.

Re: Foam G1 style Ravage.
Good questions. the foam is very flexible, for my R2 I put supports in the legs to help hold him up I did the same for Wall-e as well. For Ravage I am going to do a few different things, this first model is the test model, just to make sure I get everything looking good. One of the models I am making for someone he is going to be putting it on a poll in the air like he is pouncing so I don't need any supports. Simple wood dowel is great for inserting inside the foam legs to support everything. If I do this then I can not have the legs moveable, If I want the legs to move a bit the foam can easily handle that as I use this foam for my Ironman costume as well and that has moving joints in it. But then it needs to be supported in a different way. I am thinking of maybe some sort of base with maybe a clear acrylic rode or 2 to hold him up.
