CBC Digital Archives: Hot Toys of 1984

Was on CBC and saw this on the front page of their digital archives. Brings back memories:

Re: CBC Digital Archives: Hot Toys of 1984

Wow, that was cool to see. Being born in '84, its quite interesting what the real world was like at that time. Especially concerns over the war themed toys. I'm glad those parents never got their wish to stop it, haha.

I had heard about pre-TF versions of some of the toys shipping out under the TF brand. So seeing the micrman Soundwave and Diaclone Tracks, proves this was correct?

Pretty neat. Funny to see the old War toy protests.

I appreciate seeing the pre transformers in this video...Diaclone red Tracks, Jetrobo Starscream, Micro Change Cassetteman. Very cool!

I was going to pick up some G.I. Joe figures/vehicles for my nephews recently and couldn't find any at my local TRU. I've seen the 12" figures at Toystoystoys before but haven't seen the old 5" figures in ages. Do they still sell them? If so, where?
