Everyone is welcome.

Thanks for putting together that write-up! From what I could tell from all that, it seems like you're suggesting the extra lines you're adding to EmulationStation's config file effectively creates a shortcut to launch Kodi straight from the main UI that the Pi would boot to instead of accessing it under the "Ports" section, is that correct?

Have you done this for yourself already and successfully tested it?

Re: NES classic edition worth it?

I'll just stick to the NES I already have that sits in the basement and I don't generally play.

Correction: it's my wife's from childhood. I have another from my brother in-law with the gray Duck Hunt zapper.

Once my son is old enough we'll bust it out and play around.

You're quite welcome...

I've updated my blog post with added screenshots that display the end result.

The Raspberry Pi still boots into EmulationStation, it adds a new "faux" emulator menu item for Kodi that you can select, but it's not under the ports section - it's its own menu item.

And yes, I have it working. I wouldn't have suggested it if I hadn't first tested it... However, I do have it running under a slightly older version of RetroPie 3.8.1, I believe.

Got the Raspeberry Pie 3 in and I am in emulation overstimulation. This thing is cool. Thanks for your help!
