Received mine today. They didn't put it in a box, just shipped Trypticon with the Canada Post stickers stuck right to the box. Dirty, scratched, and dented.

I just ordered one today. I also used ebates.ca so I will get 4% back on my purchase. It's not a lot, but something. My brother recommended that site and they have Amazon.ca on it so... Throwing that out there.
Should have Trypticon by Thursday.

These are great points, especially true of big ticket items. As much as we all want this or Devestator, they aren't exactly impulse buy items for most people.

Of course the flip side is that if you pay full price you show your support for the more niche items like this. The retailers have to pay more for exclusives which is why they are more expensive, it's not fair to say it's all greed (though there may be some of that!).

Bottom line, pay what you are comfortable with. If it isn't worth $175, wait it out. Personally, I'm more offended by the price of the triple changer set.

I recently ordered toilet paper on-Line from Walmart. They packed it in a cardboard box with large pillowy bubble wrap.

Agreed. It is cheaper than e-retailers like TFSource online which are/were charging at least ~$199.99US + shipping from the States or locally in Canada. Even Robot Kingdom is selling it for $159.90US + shipping. You do the US exchange rate and the math. I am not saying that it is cheap for everybody but compared to the other sources this is a way better deal.

If you compared this to figures/box sets in the rest of the Platinum Series, such as the Insecticons, this is still a fair deal. And, Amazon.ca is also a reliable source compared to some Chinese sellers on eBay.
