Yeah well, I guess what goes around, comes around...we try to get people to start watching G1 with the movie too
Keep us updated of the latest ep that you want to discuss, and we'll point out some upcoming great episodes (without spoilers of course!)

I do also like that each ep, for the most part, is a self contained story.

I think to make up for less Vulcans they just added more Klingons and increased their cultural presence eh and the Romulans to a lesser extent.

Good point, they did really ramp up the Vulcan factor in Enterprise though, plus we got to see more of their ships and planet.

Re: Starting to Watch Star Trek: TNG... and I like it.
Oh boy... I sure do miss a regular Star Trek series on the air
It's been quite some time since I've watched a NG episode, all I remember is near the end of the series it seemed every other episode involved a transporter mishap. Overall I loved any episode with the Borg and Data centric episodes.
Oh and if you love Star Trek, definitely check out Galaxy Quest... that had me rolling in the isles

I never understood this mentality, I grew up a huge SW fan but I always liked Trek as well, especially TNG and the films. If anything I've grown to like Trek more over the years as those prequel films really killed my interest in SW and the JJ Abrams Trek film was fucking awesome!

Re: Starting to Watch Star Trek: TNG... and I like it.
I watched TNG religously when it first aired and watch the odd replay on occasion. I really enjoy the show with favorites being Picard, Data and Worf.
"We have engaged the Borg at Wolf359"
I don't know their names but the Episodes introducing the Borg are amazing.
I also enjoyed DS9(it of course has its origins with the Borg episodes) until it got too religous toward the end of its run. Voyager I could never get into.

Re: Starting to Watch Star Trek: TNG... and I like it.
The good TNG movies were Generations and First Contact. The other 2...not so much.
This whole SW vs. ST argument is pretty immature/ridiculous. I've never seen cosplayers of both fandoms having any beef at the shows up here, although it'd probably consist of just nerdy arguing and maybe a lightsaber whacking a bat'leth. Both sci-fi universe are money making entertainment, it's just that George Lucas has turned SW to crap in many aspects.

This.
And I kinda liked Enterprise. Too bad the last episode (These Are the Voyages) sucked, Terra Prime woulda been a fitting finale for the series IMO.
