That's standard. You lose a % with most currency conversions.

Ya part of life I guess. I was thinking that since OP has a balance in US funds, he could save the conversion fee if he bought from a site that sells in US currency.

There's some irony in this because most buyers here want canadian etailers to list in CAD

Automaton was apparently sold out anyway so went with A3U instead. Still have 94.00 USD left over. Trade old toys for one bigger newer ones with money left over works for me. Plus they are Canadian so at least I can avoid customs and keep business within Canada.
