TFA Deluxe Snarl colour difference
I just opened my TFA Deluxe Snarl (Slag) and noticed a couple things to do with his colour.
1. His club weapon is all reddish while the pic on the package cardback and on the back of his instructions so a mix of black on it as well in some type of pattern.
2. The piece above his eyes on his head is gray instead of red. Again conflicting with his pic.
Is anybody else's like this? Should I consider returning it?
Sorry if this was already brought up before...

Re: TFA Deluxe Snarl colour difference
I've noticed alot of differences between stock photographs and the actual toys. For instance Bumblebee is apparently to have red tipped missiles, and none I have seen are remotely painted.

Re: TFA Deluxe Snarl colour difference
1. Yeah the club is a cheeto for the actual release since Hasbro didn't want to use more black paint.
I don't know about #2, gotta take a look.

Re: TFA Deluxe Snarl colour difference
Color changes from the packing has been common for years. Partly due to stores like Walmart who want to push lower prices. Here is the whole process:
1. Hasbro makes the item and shows it to retailers like Walmart (the item also used for the stock photo on the card backing or catalogs.
2. The price of the production of set toy is then preset by removing paint applications if it's too costly. Example, if a deluxe toy costs $3.93 to make normally but this one costs $4.02, Walmart will need that cut down so they don't loose profit too much when they have to REDUCE the toy price in clearance or future discounts.....
Long story short if your pissed that Robot Heroes Beast Wars Megatron is lacking shiny paint on his body that his packaging shows unlike the toy, it's due to Walmart and other major companies pushing to reduce production costs of the final product.

Does the "cheeto" fit somewhere when he is in dinosaur mode?

^ No, unfortunately.
I think I might have to exchange my Snarl. The little hinge that is supposed to keep the legs together in bot mode just will not stay together the way it's supposed and causes the legs to split and make the figure fall over.
Damnit.

Nope, the thing that sucks is that there's no way to put it in his mouth either.
I mean it sorta works but it doesn't hold well, or at all.

I think that's a widespread problem, but when you exchange yours let us know if you get one that holds together because mine doesn't either. That's the only thing I really dislike about the figure.

Re: TFA Deluxe Snarl colour difference
Differences between pictures and package art and actual product are just a way of life. Theres almost always a small difference. Usually last minute changes, or changes to save money. Sometimes it's for the better though.

Yeah, I've never returned a toy due to poor paint apps, only due to faulty joints. At the end of the day though...if it bothers you, return it.
