Camcorder Recommendations

Hi there, I'm looking to buy my first camcorder, and looking for any advice/recommendations.

I've tried reading/finding reviews online, but it seems that even really great camcorder have drawbacks (sometimes significant drawbacks) according to the reviewers.

So I figured I'd get some opinions from people who are "happy" with their camcorder, and use that as a starting point instead.

Re: Camcorder Recommendations

No one has a camcorder to recommend?

What about camcorders to avoid?

Re: Camcorder Recommendations

Avoid the ones that make a lot of noise when you record... or the ones that have blinky lights. maybe get the night vision ones...

lol

Re: Camcorder Recommendations

I've got a Sanyo Xacti Cg6. I picked it up sale a few years ago. It takes SD cards and work pretty well. Takes nice pictures too. It's a 6 megapixel video camera. I have a 16G card in it. It's not HD, but that's because it was a bit older. It's small and fits in my hand. Very easy to use and quality is quite good. I think I paid about $150 for it.
