I just caught the new G.I. joe movie, man do I wish John Chu was in charge of the transformers movie franchise. It was fun popcorn movie without sub-compact cars trying to be black. Only Gripe RZA has no business being in that movie.. Back to my original point John Chu "gets it"... It wasnt completely serious had light-hearted moments and really good action scenes where nobody had to be movie optimus overkill mode. I hope he takes over after Michael Bay

me too! oh man I can't stop thinking about Lady Jaye, she was very "stimulating"  i'm glad she was onscreen a lot.
it feels like the movie focussed on fewer characters which downgraded the "team" aspect IMHO (on BOTH sides)

Yes there were definitely characters you were made to know more about and (therefore) care more about with increased screen time and clunky expositional reflections on their past. Whereas Bruce Willis' Gen. Colton, the tall glass of water that was Flint and even ass kicking she-ninja Jinx were throwaway characters making the Team unbalanced. But for a film that started with the official Hasbro logo (the kind you find on the side of our own MISB/MOSC treasures) I thought keeping things simple really worked.
Besides...'Splosions 'n Lady Jaye in skimpy jogging gear!
