Angry i'm in despair (RIP ibook)

So, my ibook finally decided to stop working for me... well at least the parts anyways. I've had my ibook for almost four years now and only recently did the battery life start sucking ass (were talking about a fully charged battery lasting 10 mins). On top of which I just broke the cable charger so there is no way I can keep the laptop plugged in for usage. At the moment I've resorted to using my PS3 for internet access and if things are as bad as I imagine, l may have to sell a large chunk of my collection for a new imac. *sigh*

anyone interested in buying armada, energon, movie as well as classic toys locally?

it is, though @ the moment I'm more worried about losing all my files (I have most of my graphic design projects saved on my ibook + i would hate to lose all that work.)

edit: I figured out how to make a new line break on the PS3... thats somewhat of a plus i guess.

What about buying a new battery? I don't know too much about ibook, but I'm sure you could find one for around $100. Not saying that's cheap, but maybe you don't have to buy a new imac.

I was considering just replacing the battery and charger but I think its about time I upgraded... if you could see what I'm dealing with you'd understand. I also forgot to mention my ibook closes slightly crooked b/c of poor handling (not by me of course)

If your hard drive on your iBook is fine, all you need to do is remove it and put it in an extremal enclosure, then when you get a new computer you can get all your files back, plus you have a second hard drive to use.

That sucks man. My Macbook I got last year actually had the HD die on it as well for no apparent reason a month ago. didn't even last me a year. So I lost all my work. Lesson learned: back up, back up, back up.
