it is, though @ the moment I'm more worried about losing all my files (I have most of my graphic design projects saved on my ibook + i would hate to lose all that work.)
edit: I figured out how to make a new line break on the PS3... thats somewhat of a plus i guess.

Re: i'm in despair (RIP ibook)
What about buying a new battery? I don't know too much about ibook, but I'm sure you could find one for around $100. Not saying that's cheap, but maybe you don't have to buy a new imac.

Re: i'm in despair (RIP ibook)
I was considering just replacing the battery and charger but I think its about time I upgraded... if you could see what I'm dealing with you'd understand. I also forgot to mention my ibook closes slightly crooked b/c of poor handling (not by me of course)

Re: i'm in despair (RIP ibook)
If your hard drive on your iBook is fine, all you need to do is remove it and put it in an extremal enclosure, then when you get a new computer you can get all your files back, plus you have a second hard drive to use.

That sucks man. My Macbook I got last year actually had the HD die on it as well for no apparent reason a month ago. didn't even last me a year. So I lost all my work. Lesson learned: back up, back up, back up.
