Re: Toys “R” Us continues normal business operations across Canada

Agreed, I don’t think it’s going to be him either, but it’s definitely in his best interest that Toys R Us stays in business whether he owns it or somebody else.

Looking forward to hearing some good news next week.

The final bids will be heard on the 16th. I am pretty sure it wont be Lauren since he already said on record that this was a publicity stunt.

As MapleMegatron mentioned, the MGA offer didn’t get accepted, more for publicity than substance. Good news is like a detached house selling in Toronto during the spring of 2017, multiple offers. Bad news is no official offer accepted, but at least Toys R Us Canada is wanted.

No offer accepted? Sounds to me like they want to keep the Canadian brand because they can still milk it for more dividends for their fat cat pay-offs before forcing closure there too.

I mean, weren't any of the offers profitable enough in their eyes to actually accept? Or are they just milking this so they can crush our hopes and dreams of seeing TRU Canada survive?

Damn Americans!

Will this affect how fast we get new stuff compared to how previous ownership handled it?

I don't think so.
