Re: Happy with your City Commander armour?

I broke 3 TM Megatrons myself and I NEVER break toys. The "gold" plastic on TM Meg was actually brown.

Re: Happy with your City Commander armour?

I just recently got my city commander (finally) and I actually cannot handle how awesome it is. I was surprised how solid it was, it's pretty heavy in trailer mode, it makes Magnus huge, and transformation is so much fun. Probably in my top 5 fav transformers.

Only downside.... I'm not sure if his gun is big enough...

I was surfing youtube yesterday looking for video reviews of the armour and a couple comments on one video mentioned snapped feet, brittle joints and wrongly glued parts.

But I figure they'll have worked out the bugs for the next release. I see they've improved some things on the Shadow Commander set according to the press releases I've seen.

Thanks for your input everybody. My BBTS pre-order shall remain!

Reminds me how my 2000 VW Golf bought in October '99 is a lemon, but my buddy's Golf purchased in 2002 is reliable...they worked out the bugs and QC issues as they went along.

Re: Happy with your City Commander armour?

Yeah, I have 2 halfs of a TM Megs somewhere. Such a brittle thing...
The funny thing though, he broke cause I was trying to be careful and dropped him XD
Never once broke when I was playing with him when I bought it new as a kid.

Re: Happy with your City Commander armour?

The City Commander feet can be a little difficult to put on the Classic Magnus but I didn't see it stressing at all. But there may be an easy fix by just grinding down a little. I'll have to show Dak what I mean and if it can be done.

While if/when I get the Shadow Commander set, I intend to leave it as-is - but do any of you consider using it as the basis for a Shattered Glass rendition of Ultra Magnus?

(Not sure where you'd get the appropriate purple Autobot logos, though.)

Man...that's a shame, especially if you do have Classics UM. It's meant to be opened, transformed, snapped on and loved!

Buy two and leave one as is!

No no no - When I say that I'll leave it as-is, I mean that I'll use it with my Nemesis Prime, but not try to add some kind of Shattered Glass faction logos or anything to it.

I never buy figs just to leave MISB, trust me!

(Not that I can afford a second one, anyway...)

I have not had any problems with my Japanese Metals Megatron. Glad I picked that one up instead of the one from the Bro. He is such a cool figure though, I can see why you got 3 of them.
