Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with Chris too. I really loved and dug Skyhammer but I don't think he was a honourable mention. I wish the mechtech toy was slimmer and looked like a real sword at least. =/

Re: Canadian Slag Episode 56 - Shooting the Slag 3: With a Vengeance

Wow, that was actually a pretty informative and funny episode... thanks!

Yeah I agree DOTM pretty much sucks, except say for a good portion of cyberverse and dlx darksteel. I would get a skyhammer, but I don't like the paint apps and hope for a better repaint.

Some great quotes "...lay down demands, then you tell her to touch it", "...smelly sandwich"

This guest gets my vote for sexiest so far...

EDIT: Hey Protoman, if you want to trade your loose Francophone BB for a loose Anglophone BB, bring him to TFCON and we can swap?

Oh I didn't mean in term of Top 5 but just when discussing the bland DOTM voyager figures.

Re: Canadian Slag Episode 56 - Shooting the Slag 3: With a Vengeance

Been out of the Slag loop lately (I really need to catch up). That being said, a great, random, informative, funny episode. Glad to hear I'm not the only one feeling the same about the DotM line. I've only bought three figures from the line - and I already regret one of them. Lots of Botcon talk. I understand the pricing and organization problems - but seriously, why so much hate lol? Episode was think and long - just the way I like them. Thanks guys.

Thumbs up Re: Canadian Slag Episode 56 - Shooting the Slag 3: With a Vengeance

OMG, this is back...I thought we got Dreamwave'd.

Very good episode.

Now that Chris(t) is back, would this be considered the equivalent of Dark Awakening of G1 season 3 or the Return of Optimus?

With Ian joining that cast, this could be the beginning of some interesting episodes.

I loved the BotCon talk, it was great.

I thought Hatchet was the best DOTM toy.
(no, serious)

This podcast brought back the FUN that was missing from previous 10-ish episodes.

I think Return of Optimus Prime would be better.....

...... unless your implying I give Chris the reigns of the show, only for him to go nuts and drive the podcast into a planet.

Or maybe he would sacrifice himself by plunging into Vector Sigma, only for the Podcast to explode a few episodes later anyway.

Well I'm hoping it's the equivalent of Return of Optimus.

In the podcast he said he'd be back more, now that school is pretty much over. But there was no mention that he's taking full control.

Even if he did go nuts, there'd be loads of laughs.

Hahahaha.

An observation:
I'd also like to point out the numbers that show Chris (or his on-air personality) might be a focal point of the podcast (or this was a really really interesting coincidence)...

Podcasts #30-43 (2-9 pages of discussion, 19-84 replies, 1562-3513 views)

Podcasts #44-55 (2-3 pages of discussion, 8-27 replies, 470-1772 views)

Podcast #56 (3 pages of discussion, 28 replies, 406 views thus far)

Numbers went down after #5 post-Chris era, (equivalent of Five Faces of Darkness?)

#50 was kind of a write-off due to a couple of huge threads of the DOTM discussion, so people most likely didn't re-post their comments.

If the lack of Chris was not the cause of the low numbers, can anyone come up with a theory as to why?

(Note: I don't have iTunes, are the numbers similar there?)
