• I think the hasbro version might be slightly different..usually on quality wise =(

• I dont think Takara version will drop on price though unfortunately

• I think i will stick with my Takara version unless its exactly the same or 95% the same =) (i will buy another one then)

You might be better off trying to take the top shiny layer off. I have no idea how you would do that but it you're thinking of repainting anyways, it might be fun to play with.
