That said, you wanna arrive there pretty early as the crowd is relatively thin in the mornings.

Another tip I can give you is if you're going Sunday, try to leave the convention centre before it closes down because when 5 o'clock rolls around the place turns into a mad house and it's a pain in the rear trying to get out along with everyone else.

I've gone just about ever year since around 2008. I usually take a day off work and go about 1hr early on Friday morning to line up and get in about 30min after the ticket booth opens. This year however, my nephews want to go and they can only do Sat, so I expect it to be crazy packed. But again, I plan to show up an 1hr early just to line up for a ticket. I don't get autographs or photo-ops, I usually just go for freebies and potential SDCC exclusives the Hasbro booth may have. That Dr Who Companion panel is tempting though and one of my Nephews is a Whovian, so I'll probably take him to it. Besides, it's hard for me to resist Jenna Coleman's big googly eyes

Most should be there for the 2 busiest days, Friday and Saturday.

Also I'm not sure if they'll ever run into that "full capacity" problem from a few years ago again. They are using BOTH North and South buildings. If they do run into the "full capacity" mayhem again, not sure where they'll expand to, and how much more admission will be by then.

Skydome, just like what they do for the Autoshow.

Not a lot of guest on a Thursday and with a 4:00 start time be prepared to wait in line till 6:00 or so (based on previous years experience).

I'd say Friday early or Sunday. For the past few years my wife and I have only been going for one day either Friday or Sunday (went Sunday last year for the evening with two captains). Personally I'd go for the weekend if they hotel (and their parking) prices weren't so over inflated.

Last year they had SDCC Black Series Jabba. Not sure about Transformers.

They had both exclusives up for offer this year. Price wasn't that bad either, Combiner Hunters was only 100 while Devastator was 230.
