Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
I'm surprised! While the alt modes for TR Astrotrain leave a lot of things to be desired, I feel like his robot mode is leagues better than the Classics mold.

Man, all this excitement with the TR line. I feel like i am missing out, lol. Wallet funds diverted entirely to MP and G1 figures... i admit i am tempted by the TR Broadside that is now appearing everywhere as i feel he will scale better with my wreckers crew than the 1986 figure ever did.

Oh yeah, the G1 figure was way too skinny compared to what Broadside has been depicted as being in most fiction. The TR Voyager is nice and bulky, he makes most other Voyager robot modes look scrawny.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Thats just it... the MMC Spartan/Impactor scales nicely with my G1 whirl, roadbuster and jumpstarters... broadside would look good with them, as would a Springer scaled in similar size to MP28.
I know, i know... the generations whirl n roadbuster are nicer stylized than the blocky g1s i use... but i always wanted those two as g1 figures and never had em till the past few years...

Don't get me wrong, I still love the G1 figures. They were the figures that I fell in love with as a kid. Obviously they aren't going to be perfect, considering their age.
That's why I collect both, G1's and Classics/MPs. The G1 collection is for the nostalgia factor and the Classics/MPs are for the better representation of how they appeared in fiction.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Totally the same for me, though I've slowed my G1 collecting because I have most of the figures I want. G1 is nostalgia, Generations are fun modern updates, and Masterpieces are the ultimate versions of original characters.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
my local stores are still only receiving one box of TR figures of each class size. Why are they not bringing in more stock? I'm sure there is more than one customer buying! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
It's been really cool seeing everyone's thoughts on the TR line. I've been on the fence with it for a while as I'm not sure if I personally will have a long term attachment to the line like with G1 and MP figures.
I know during the CHUG era, I "settled" for a lot of designs I wasn't sold on, simply because I wanted every character that appeared in the G1 cartoon, and I sorta just plugged along on autopilot. Guess TR does have better designs so maybe it would feel different...
