Can we somehow pin the store refund, price matching or price adjust topic somewhere in the forum? Same question being asked every time when a sale comes up. Thanks.

fyi: my local tru didn't issue a raincheck for the 1/2 price on voyagers b/c they said it was a 3 day sale promotion.

I HEARD a rumor that TRU only order 2000 Velocitron sets for the entire country. I cannot reiterate enough that that is a rumor.

There's some complexity to the rules with pricematches/adjustments:

TRU

Return Period: 45 days

Pricematches: I think pretty good? Can't ever recall trying as it at least needs to be an advertised price in a flyer, and Walmart usually just does rollbacks not in a flyer. Do they pricematch % off? Has it ever come up since Zellers/Target died?

Price adjustments (post purchase): 14 days for a competitors price, 45 days for their own sales. Right?

Rainchecks: Yes, maybe, mood-based. Generally needs to be an item on sale price, and not in stock. Tricky when they have other characters in stock as TRU usually uses one SKU per size/class and line (I.e. TR deluxes all have 1 SKU regardless of character or wave, and RiD deluxes all have one SKU, but not the same one as for TR deluxes.). So bad when they refuse to give you a raincheck for Broadside because of all the Astrotrain on the shelf (all TR Voyagers having the same SKU), but good when a raincheck for "TR deluxes" can be used for future waves too. The maybe/mood-based is because a number of stores have started weirdly claiming no rainchecks allowed on Transformers due to a mysterious policy.

Walmart

Return Period: 90 days

Pricematches: Difficult - won't match % off, they need to see a price. Often get hung up on seeing dates the sale runs (so need flyer for dates). Also often have trouble with the whole "That's not the exact character in the competitors flyer", because they often don't understand size classes like "all voyagers".

Price Adjustments (post purchase): technically up to the full 90 days, but just as (if not more) difficult as getting a pricematch.

Rainchecks: No

Anything I've got wrong or missing in there let me know and I'll fix it.

No need for any of my local store's 513 wave 2 Voyagers, but I did grab RID Blurr for 25% off. Might head back for Soundwave.
