Re: Fan Expo Toronto 2013

Well, that's good news, I hope. I don't see the show getting much worse. And that's probably why ticket prices were so ridiculous this year. A big cash grab for the former owners before they sell.

Re: Fan Expo Toronto 2013

Had a lot of fun this year, glad to see they finally moved the autograph area to the south building.

Interesting that they sold the convention, hopefully that means the prices might be a bit more reasonable next year.

Didn't know you had a booth. I may have seen you though. I was in the South Building multiple times.

The company's name is Informa. See the link a few posts above yours.

In my summary post on the previous page, I forgot to mention in the Bobby Orr panel, a fan asked a loaded question. What did he feel about the Leafs and Boston series from last year. He was a Leafs fan growing up, then grew up to be a Boston hero. So he has strong feelings for both teams. He made a face, paused, laughed, then responded with a profession assessment. Classy guy.

Re: Fan Expo Toronto 2013

so a bit late but here are the best pics i took from the con

https://www.facebook.com/ariel.obtin...6010252&type=1

pros:

enjoyed the large environment there were only a few aisles that i couldnt walk around in at the dealers room but over all it was pretty good

artist alley was huge - saw a lot of cool new art and what nots

the celebs were good - saw a few just walking around in between their panels and photo ops - didnt bother them just appreciated it

the premium pass worked as in we got some priority lineups in regards to getting in pretty quickly

cons:

pricy as fuck tickets lol imo

security guards are idiots and ok soo they had 2 full escalators to go out - we needed to get a buddy and they didnt let ppl use the 2nd one - funneled into one escalator... lots of ppl were confused and angry

the first day - i lined up at the south building waited almost half an hour from the 2pm opened doors they promised - so from what we gathered they let north building in first then south...>_>

NO BIG COMIC COMPANIES! i was pissed at this cus i wanted to see a marvel booth, a dc booth or even an image/top cow booth....nope nada - soo this was a big disappointment for me

darkhorse was there.... yeah like i said ... darkhorse was there >_>

***

in regards to transformers - i got a few good deals on new hasbro stuff but nothing big

overall the con was good - took pics more than i shopped. hung out with friends and thats pretty much it.

ill probably go again next year if this new company lowers the prices and gets comics people in!
