for a moment imagine what a transformers series woudl be like exploring the origins of a young autobot character.

when it comes to his rise through the ranks in the autobot militia to the role of leadership, and ultimately his enduring legacy surviving beyond the time of his actual death

a young optimus prime that has all the best qualities of the live action movieverse optimus prime whe it comes to the young prime being a reasonable socially well adjusted and even likeable kind of guy even though he happens to be deathly lethally protective of his friends, his family relatives, and loved ones where their personel well being is concerned.

he would be in part the heroic sociopath kind of hero with him havng movieverse optimus primes feral wolverine berzurker like fighting spirit for this young optimus's rage mode

this young optimus would be particularly adept at trickery, deciet and guile in a all aroudn positive kind of way asa stratagist

he would be the kind of person who was forced to grow up much too fast due to his having been exposed to the horrors and atrocities of war at far too young a age.

in this regard he would be the long term surviving trauma victim when it comes to the whole child soldier bit. so he definately has his inner demons to deal with in the long run .

essentually he would be part john rambo in his way.


with the result being that he comes across as being somewhat unhinged in the head in its crazy but it works kind of way.

but he manages to use it as a strength to his person to both inspire himself and his allies over time in a entirely positive way.

it being in part truth and in part a act he puts on as a way to help his person cope ovr time with his personel insecurities .


on the one hand the young optimus comes across as resorting to having a over the top attitude in all aspects of his personel life to make up for his lack of self confidence day to day as he goes on living his life in a certain reckless devil may care kind of way that he relies more on dumb luck and instinct instead of actual skill to survive in a fight

he seems to have a truly insane amount of luck in making crazy work for him to his advantage that at times it seems the only reason he is able to win in a fight against a truly superior opponent is because he genuinely does not know for a fact that he can't win.

on the other hand though this young optimus comes across as being the kind of inspriational person and leader that beleives in each of his team mates and friends that he comes across to each of them as being both a father to his men slash surrogate older brother in his way as well to each of them in his ability to constantly inspire and motivate each fo them to believe in theirself and to go well above and beoynd their personal abilities and limitiations over time.

basicly this young optimus would come across as being all around the inspirational person at heart in his way as a figher, a leader and as a warrior and philosopher.

the guy would have his self doubts at times and even his fair share of emotional crises's over time but he would always be the kind of guy that just seems to role with the punches.

no matter what life throws at him t will never keep him down for more then a day or two at a time because the guy is just so full of will power, self confidence and courage, guts, and fighting spirit that were he actually human it would literally be oozing out of every single pore in his entire body.

his words would always have a way fo taking a straight path to your heart over time, make you genuinely believe for yourself that you could do anythin you put your mind to so long as you have the determination, fighting spirit, courage, guts, anbd self confidence, to beleive in yourself and the will power and desire to make the impossible possible through sheer force of will and self determination.

in life as a dieing martyr and in death he would become a more powerful being then he had even been in life because his living memory and his fighting spirit would literally live on in and through each of his fellow autobots

for each member of the team optimus woudl literally represent their own personel fighting spirit and that persons own personel inner self from which that person draws their self confidence in that person becoming on the outside every bit the person they most see their self as winting to be on the inside when it comes to how that person sees theirself in their mind internally.

in its way thier faith and belief in optimus would make it possible for him to live on beyond the grave liteally as their fighting spirit

by that what i mean to say is that optimus would exist fo a time in the lviing world as a physically disimbodied ghostly warrior and spiritual advisor to his stil lliving friends , family loved oens and team mates

now picture the dead optimus prime in that role over time

i woudl think that would be a suitable role for optimus to have in the afterlife in the living world asa perosn that coudl to a degree interact with the stil living and when need be even be there to protect and to defend his team mates as a kind of guradian spirit as well

Well, why not take this a step farther. Have the 26 episode half-hour show basically split evenly in two 13 episode halves.

Follow an entire Autobot unit within a grander Transformers reality, from training to the front lines, to some covert missions to when they become "legendary" and catch the attention of the Wreckers. Make sure they're all "new" characters. The big ones we already know about, they're at the ginormous pivotal battles and whatnot. We're just watching the "grunts".

I'd think of it sort of like the Roughnecks series of Starship Troopers.

For the other half of the series, do it about the Decepticon equivalent. Just make sure the two teams only cross paths once or twice throughout the series. Devote 13 episodes to them going through the same sort of thing.

Obviously, the standard Autobots "good" and Decepticons "evil" dynamic won't work in this show, so instead of good and evil, make it about the objectives. What do the Decepticons want and why do the Autobots oppose them?

So the Autobots blowing up a Decepticon Space Bridge complex thereby irradiating the area with toxic waste can be a heroic act to save lives in the long run.

The Decepticons protecting and relocating an indigenous species can be a morally objectionable act because their weak hate-plague inducing spores will be harvested and distilled into a biological weapon.

Or Decepticons disobeying orders and assassinating an Autobot commander to end a bloody campaign that was consuming countless lives on both sides.

And maybe Autobots being commanded to wipe out the population of a small pre-industrial society on a planet to protect a potential ally on a nearby planet from being detected by Decepticons.

Some on both sides will be all for or against their faction's convictions, others apathetic. Some will want war regardless of the political reasons, others will have been forced into serving for a particular faction while sympathizing with the other. Both sides will have agreeable and disagreeable acts. That's war.

Ultimately it would be about the civil war as seen from the eyes of the lowest participants. We wouldn't even need Earth or humans in this series, but a number of alien worlds and Cybertron would be great.

I mean, even in Star Wars the Galactic Empire did have good qualities, otherwise people EVERYWHERE would have revolted all at once. Neither side were truly evil (though the head of the Galactic Empire was pretty damned evil). Not everyone in the Galactic Empire was rotten, same as not everyone in the Rebel Alliance had honourable intentions.

basicly this will be a origin for the combaticons i have come up with over the past couple days that draws on a mix of both pre generation 1 80's cartoon continuity and botcon comic continuity but also borrows character origins from the 2001 animated series transformers robots in disguise

a bit of a heads up on the source material i am drawing from

　

The Wings Of Honor Universe stories take place in a storyline continuity that essentually serves as a direct prequeal to the original transformers generation 1 animated 80's cartoon


The stories dance around the events of the cartoon, creating additional character backstory and also plugging plotholes. while still insuring that the events of the cartoon happene largely unaltered for the most part.


Most of the Wings Universe stories so far are set in Cybertron's distant past, at the outbreak of the Great War. during the earliest days. They establish that there was an Autobot Elite Guard at that time, from whose winged insignia the title is derived. .

　

in transformers robots in disguise The Commandos are an elite group of Decepticon warriors. Formerly Autobot protoforms corrupted by the dark energies of Megatron's lifespark, they now fight for evil. The five members can also combine to form the combiner super warrior Ruination.

Scourge is a Decepticon from the Robots in Disguisecontinuity family.

Scourge is the result of a protoform scanning mishap that led to the creation of a Decepticon protoform attaining the appearance of the autobot leadr optimus prime whos robot form scourges protoform had scanned to model its own robot form after. the end result is a decepticon warrior that has a more heavily built form and appearance modeled after optimus prime but more heavily armored and packing way more fire power by decepticon standards


in essense he is literally a decepticon clone of autotobot leader optimus prime. in a way scourge is also optimus's son gone rogue


Scourge has all the better attributes of Optimus Prime as a leader and strategist, and warrior but also has the Decepticon programming of his lord and master predacon leader Megatron.


Scourge is arguably Megatron's second in command, and also the most leathal and skilled among his fellow decepticon comando's . as such scourge serves as their leader.


Scourge is a ruthless and cunning warrior who contains all of Optimus Prime's strengths and skill, but none of his compassion and mercy. He's also a very ambitious warrior, with plans to dethrone Megatron!


Scourge's greatest strength is also his weakness―his fierce temper. presumably inherited from his creator predacon leader megatron.

Fearless and furious, he charges into battle wildly hacking into his opponents on the battle field with his broadsword as his trailer combat deck launches exploding disc bombs and missile barrages overhead. Yet his rage also makes him impatient, petulant, and easily provoked; it also scares the heck out of his fellow decepticons.

　

　

this is the storylines i am workign with from the generation 1 80's animated series

1.In attack of the autobots megatron managed to reprogram optimus prime and his fellow autobots to be evil like the decepticons

2. in a prime problem megatron actually went so far as to actually clone optimus prime and starscream

3.in the master builders the constructicons at the very least considered betraying megatron and joining their fellow albut enemy allied master builders hoist and grapple as they considered grapples offer until megatron easedropped on them and got wise to their thoughts on the matter


　

here is my idea


imagine for a moment how transformers generation 1 season 2 would have played out over time in the time elading up to the 80's animated transformers movie if it had actually explored storyline elements from those earlier episodes in the time leading up to starscreams brigade?

to be honest i actually think it would have been a very interesting idea for megatron to have created a final optimus prime clone but with this clone developing over time to becone its own sentinet living person to become its own character over time

　

essentually this living decepticon optimus prime clone would be for all intents and purposes a true generation 1 nemesis prime character modeled entirely after scourges character from Transformers Robots In Disguise.


nemesis prime would have all of optimus primes abilities intelligence and wisdome as a warrior and a leader but at the same time this decepticon prime would also have all of megatrons lust for power and desire for conquest and life experience as a stratagist to the point that over time nemesis prime would developt over time into being both the magnificent bastard, the trickster and the master manipulator chess master all in one


basicly nemesis prime would be the evil hybrid clone connor kent to optimus primes superman and megatrons lex luthor.


the clone would start out being slavishly loyal to megatron at first but over time would develop his own free will and ambition to the point of allying with starscream agaisnt megatron

much to his personel regret megatron would have wrought all to well in his desire to create a true decepticon version of his enemy optimus prime



starscream himself would use the constructicons to have his body rebuilt into a entirely new body while the constructicons would also create a clone of starscream

starscream would use the starscream clone to fake his own death in a fight to the death with megatron in which the starscream clone and nemesis prime tag team megatron

megatron defeats nemesis prime destroys the starscream clone and banishes nemesis primes stasis locked body to deep space for eternity with starscream secretly pursueing him from a safe distance with megatron entirely unaware of the matter


with the continueing storyline seeing starscream in his new body and life develope for himself a new identity called Explorer as he makes his way to cybertron with nemesis primes stasis locked body

explorer revives nemesis prime through reformatting his body to that of a rather poowerful human sized micromaster form and the two would break into the decepticon detention center to steal the personality components and sparks they will use to give the combaticons new life on earth

they then bust into shockwaves citidel raid it for experimental protoform bodies and combiner technology then hop the spacebridge to earth and use the military vehicles on the island to scan alternate forms for the protoform bodies using them ase the actual bodies for the combaticons

from there they would raid a military base or two for weapons and also to insure that each combaticon can modernise their ww2 vehicle mode form to a more present day vehicle mode form with explorer experimenting on both himself and scourge and the combaticons to gift each of them with the abiltiy to become a 7 member combiner team

a combiner team in which explorer's armored flying wing vehicle form would serve as bruticus's chest and breastplate armor so that explorer can share joint control of the combiner body with nemesis prime and onslaught

this would also insure that if any kind of debilitating injury is done to bruticus's head body or limbs all 7 of their minds would be stored intact in exploreres body with explorer himself serving as a way to successfully store a living copy of each of their minds anbd personalities in a safe non corrupted state should any one of them experieince the death of their own personel body as a individual

while nemesis prime himself would be the headmaster unit and would form the head of the bruticus combiner mode with the result being that the combined form of bruticus would be both incredibly strong as well as execptionally intelligent for a combiner form

this would make it possible for the much more intelligent bruticus combiner form to have all the best qualities of nemesis prime and explorer put together with explorers ego being kept in check by both onslaught and nemesis prime

mind meld wise while in combiner form brawl swindle blastoff and vortex would provide secondary audio visual sensory information which explorer would analyse with onslaught and nemesis prime formulating strategy based off the information on the spot

basicly as a combiner team think of this version of bruticus as being both the genuies bruiser and the unstoppable force/immovable object all in one

　

essentually he would be the smart hulk of the decepticon combiners

with the remainder of season 2 seeing starscream and nemesis prime heavily upgrade the combaticons to make bruticus even more heavily armored and also to posess greater speed and reflexes as well as bruticus maximus

　

with nemesis prime and his combaticon commandos becoming a serrious threat to both megatron decepticon and autobots alike as mercenaries for hire.

　

also the possible benefits of a headmaster enhanced combiner team

question
when it comes to the g1 combiner teams some of them happen to be mentally slow or otherwise unintelligent or in the case of menasore outright psychotic r dim witted in thier merged super warrior combiner form

what might these combiner teams be like if they were to be enhanced with headmaster technology through the addition of a new character being added to the combiner team?

with this new member theirself forming the actual head and intelligent mind and conciousness of the combiner super warrior form while still retaining the mental link to the combiner team members who form him thus making it possible for the combiner's mind to draw on the experieince of the individuals who form the combiners super warrior form.

while at the same time it would also make it possible for the combiner's mind to successfully avoid experiencing the mental defects of the individual combiner team members du to the headmaster partner theirself serving as the mental go between between the combiners mind and the minds of the individuals who form the combiners body.


how might this benefit the combiner team in their merged form?

for each member of the combiner team including the team leader their mind could fall into some sort of sleep mode with a emergency feature set up if the combiner process is interrupted by failure, so that they are awakened and can return to thier individual robot mode again and defend theirself, instead of being defenseless body parts lying around.

this process could completely avoid mental defects and would give the headmaster 100% control over the combiner body formed by themembers of the combiner team. But the members would have to learn to trust their headmaster 100% so its pretty much all or nothing

The headmaster, would accelerate and enhance the overall ability of the individual members of the team to combine while also regulating the whole system while merging takes place. It's about optimizing the overall mental/psychological output of the gestalt through endless feedbacks from the individual members whos minds happen to exist in a kind of hybrid shared sort of hive mind set.

as a headmaster enhanced combiner team i could easily see bruticus the combaticon combiner superwarrior as being the smart hulk among his fellow decepticon combiners due to his fully posessing all of the skills and abilities, both physical psychological and mentally ,of his fellow combaticons


while each tcombiner team would have a new guy that would form the head for the combiner form he would only provide the combiner form with its own mind and personality which would interact with the minds of the individual members of the combiner team who form the combiner super warrior body

basicly the result would be that the mind of the headmaster would be inhanced due to it drawing on the shared minds of the others.

think of it as being a kind of super empowering of the mind in which all members of the combiner team including the headmaster happen to share a full degree of beyond 100 percent perfect synchronization with eachother in their ability to perfectly coordinate their attacks with eachother asa team and at the samne time using it to boost the combienr forms ability to thoruoughly draw on all the physical mental and intellectual abilities of each member of the team.

but with the combiner form asa person being able to draw on the memories and life experinece of the individual combiner team members who form that combiner's body without falling victim to any one members mental or psychological negatie traits in doing so

basicl,y it being like overclocking ones body but applied to the mind instead

in a manner of speaking the combiner theirself would live and experieince life through each of the combiner team members when the team members are active as their own individuals persons when not in combiner form.

and while the team members are in combiner form when the combiner has awakened and is active he would be able to draw on those experiences as his own person

basicly for the person who is the combiner it would be like a person living part of each day of their life in a dream state while the combiners body is sperated as the individual member of the combiner team but with that person who is the combiner still being throughly aware of the deviding line that seperates dream from reality and being able to use what they have learned during dream time experieince in each individual team members life

in the combiners real own life in real time reality this would also make it possible for the combiner mind as their own seperate being to evlve as a being coindependently of the persons who make up the body of the person who is the combiner

if the combiner team was originally a 5 member team but has been enhanced to be a headmaster combiner team while the new guy would make the team 6 in number it would actually be 7 due to the combiner having its own individual mind and personality as a
person

with all the gods know how many hundreds of thousands of differant characters there are in the transformers fictional multiverse.

they say it takes a strong man to stnad up for his beleifs in a life or death fight

dont know how true those words are in this day and age

but in my 34 years of living life i do know this

it takes a strong man to stand up for himself and his beliefs in a fight


it takes a even stronger man to stand up for others in a fight when that man has to beleive in others in order to be strong enough to be that man to believe in himself

but the strongest man of all is the one who has the guts and the strength of will to take a fatal hit in the fight for his friends family and loved ones and still somehow manage to find the strength of will to find his way back to his feet and to go on fighting the good fight even as a dead and dieing man.

they say the human brain lives on for a full 8 minutes after the human heart stops beating as a man dies, that he can still hear and see everything happening around his person as his mind dies while he is still in that concipouse stae of mind before his brain fully dies on him

for the person that is able to force their dieing body to move on sheer strength of emotions faith and unbreakable will power itself in making the impossible possible through sheer force of will and fighting spirit

at times that very action in itself can be a truly awe inspiring act and perhapes even a kind of minor miracle in itself when that man is able to fight to their very dieing breath to the last moment in their dieing existance

i would wager its all to rare a thing when it does happen in real life but i also beleive that when it does happen on the rarest of ocassions that it can be the very thing legends are made of when that man dies a true martyr for a just and honorable cause.


as a long time fan of the transformers mythos since the age of 5

i can honestly say that as human characters go kamina has all the fighting spirit dermination and unbreakable will power of a true autobot warrior in his own right.




after giving the matter further thought though i have aquestion

which transformer character could we see in their own right as being in their way the kamina among their fellow cybertronians?

honestly with so many coutnless charactrers to choose from i wold not know where to begin and i think this would be a fun topic to explore overtime

to be honest i could actually see a version of cheetors character turn out over time to be that kind of person over time.

g1 wise hHot Rod certainly, has the colors and the flames of gurren lagann and team dai-gurren and even as rhodimus he certainly has the colors for it what with his having the colors of gurren lagan itself colorschem wise.


i could totally see him growing up naturally to be the full on true to the character autobot kamina among his fellow cybertronians

just keep that damn matrix of leadership the hell away from him

better yet chuck in in a black hole


i swear that part of hotrods being got seriously neutered if not out right castrated from hot rods being when the matrix turned hot rod into rodimus prime

seriously though i could see hotrod on his own develope over time into literally being the kamina among his fellow cybertornians
