Re: Chances on finding a Skywarp

Yeah I was able to get a loose Skywarp for $30 a year ago. Check ebay everyday and a good price one will pop up eventually.

Wow, the last price I seen on the two pack MISB was around $125+ shipping back in May. That seemed a little high then, but not too bad for what it was going for.

Agreed. I got one for a similar price about a year and a half ago as well. Patience (usually) always pays off!

Re: Chances on finding a Skywarp

Damn, if we get a classics Skywarp in the Generations line, someone is going to be upset that they can't resell their classics one at these prices. But untill then, I'll just grab some paint and paint Acid Storm into Skywarp.

Shit, I got that Skywarp/Magnus set for $20 at Target in Bellingham, WA. It was shelf-warming for God's sake.

-tempted to put them both on ebay and rake in the dough... but then wouldn't have Skywarp...-

I got mine for the same price last year. I just happened to find him on ebay by chance; I didn't even expect to win the auction. So yeah, patience pays off, but luck doesn't hurt either.

Re: Chances on finding a Skywarp

I believe I paid retail for my set, got it from Digital Toys back in 2007 when it first came out, I was totally comitted to having a complete Classics collection, and when the thing wasn't available in Canada I went the online route.

BBTS also netted me the second wave of Legends and CD.

In fact, aside from them and Grimlock all my Classics purchases were at retail at the time of release, and since I ordered Grimlock from TRU.ca technically I got him for retail pricing as well.

I personally am surprised that a re-release hasn't occured yet, it's relatively simple to slap a similar deco on those two molds and re-release them as UM and Skywarp... Although personally I'm hoping that if Hasbro does re-issue the characters they at least give Skywarp a better purple deco for him. Classics Skywarp has a bit of an issue with his choice in decos.

Re: Chances on finding a Skywarp

I think I paid mine 80 + shipping last year. Once I saw the price I didn't hesitate to buy it.

I got mine at Target on clearance for 13.98. I almost didn't buy it.

Then I almost broke it up and sold each part. It was before either one really shot up in price, too.

Now I couldn't imagine not having either one.
