Re: First time repaint effort, Classics Voyager Ironhide

I basically bought this figure cause it was cheap and it was my first custom. As far as the head goes predicon was my only figure missing a part that I felt I didnt care about. About paint application I found some cheap acrylic metallic paint pens used them mostly for application then whatever I couldn't get I dabbed paint out then used a brush. The clear was labelled as just a sealer so I assumed it would be matte but once I started with the clear I figured meh. If anyone could give me some suggestions on easily available paints and clear that would be great. Thanks for the compliments and looking !!

If you have Liquidation world in your city thats where I got mine, They also had the two different jets and car. They had about 3 boxes worth for $6 each. I was thinking maybe get another humvee and try roadbuster ? Maybe the jet and try I dont know who. Anybody have a cool suggestion ?

Thanks, I'd appreciate it - the cheapest I've ever seen this mold has been $15.

I think our Liquidation World downtown closed down...right?

I didn't see any at Giant Tiger last time I was there (3 weeks ago) but who knows.

Re: First time repaint effort, Classics Voyager Ironhide

looks pretty slick!!
though a different head and a bit of blue in the upper chest area would seal the deal as ironhide a bit more, but i understand you were only using what you had on hand.
still a nice piece

for matte clearcoat,try walmart,krylon "dusted crystal clear",7-8 bucks,enough to do atleast 3 voyagers,or 4-5 deluxes
