do i have a wonky gundam marker?
this is the first one i've owned, but i'm finding that the tip never stays very "wet" with ink... i'm always scribbling on a little piece of paper or something hoping it'll make the ink flow better... that and it just DOESNT want to work on the parts i've painted with tamiya acrylic paint? is that normal? should i just go out and get another one?

Did you shake it well, and pressed the tip down? that should release more ink.

Re: do i have a wonky gundam marker?
Hmmm, keep shaking it then. I've had a simular problem with another Gundam marker. After shaking and pressing for a good half hour or so, I finally got the ink to start flowing again. YOu might also wanna take the marker appart to make sure nothing is preventing the flow of ink.
Yeah, I think Arcrylic paints EATS Gundam marker paint. if you wanna pannel line, it's best to it with some black paint and a tooth pick.

Re: do i have a wonky gundam marker?
i use tamiya acrylics almost religiously, along with automotive.
i use gundam panel liner pens religiously too.
easiest way i've found to save frustration is to give your bot a light dustcoat of clearcoat, let it dry completely, then go ahead and panel line it.
the pens don't like being used on bare acrylics, but on bare enamels that are thoroughly dried they work just fine.
