Indeed that's true...I just didn't think they'd be selling them to a store to re-sell as I thought all 500 would be available to people attending.

Now I don't know if I should just pre-order from KT or risk them being sold out at TFCon before someone has a chance to pick up an extra for me.

Powered Commanders are Only sold to people attending the convention.

If somebody attends the con and pre-regs for 25 P.Commanders to sell on the aftermarket, they are completely allowed so.

Kool Toys is attending. This is why they are able to buy Powered Commander.

Fair enough, I just didn't expect any of the dealers to be getting a quantity large enough to offer a pre-order and that's why I started the thread.

Well, to be fair a "large quantity" might be 10, might be 20. I would get 20 if I had the money, and a way to transport them...anyone have a forklift?

I don't think legally there could have been any way to stop this either. You could say "no dealers please" but that isn't binding of course. What if he wants 5 for personal use? You could also say 1 per person. A determined dealer could always pre-register 20 friends and they each pick up one for resale. There is no foolproof plan for stopping dealers even if we wanted to.

I got my confirmation yesterday, and I'm number 243. Unless 250 people mail their stuff away by today, I'm sure there will be some available at the show. As to how many, who knows. Hope I can afford to pick up a second one by then.

is 243 the number of people preregistered or is that commander set number 243/500 ?

If its the number of people that have preregistered, then you may also have to factor in the number of people that ordered multiple quantities of the set. That doesn't leave for many left.

I'm thinking of ordering 3 from Kooltoyz just to re-sell 2 on ebay in 3 months. I'd probably pay for mine and make a tidy profit off of it...but I'd feel bad since it'd be on the backs of other collectors.
