Catholic Easter was last Sunday, and some of you might already know that tomorrow is the Orthodox Easter and I am really excited cause we get to celebrate with family and great food. Orthodox Easter is different than Catholic Easter, for one we don't celebrate Easter together, our Easter is always a week after the Catholic Easter but every 4 years Catholic Easter and Orthodox Easter are celebrated the same day.
Things we eat on Easter:
Lamb (usually it's the baby lamb)
Greek sweet bread
Easter eggs (there's a game with the eggs, each person takes an egg and the they try to crack the everyone's egg without a single crack on it)
Koulouria (Greek Easter cookies)
Loukaniko (Greek Sausage)
Kokoretsi (Lamb's intestines) I stay away from that, I don't like it but a lot of people do
And last but not least our famous spread Tzatziki, ( I make my own from scratch)
And of course booze and beer, I can't wait, I will be BBQing tomorrow
