I think the movie will start of with sam reading a letter or e-mail from Makayla saying that it was too hard for the long distance relationship and that it was best that they move on, them boom after a few sences later sam is at his new job and there he meets carly!! thats how its should be done

But this is a Michael Bay movie. They'll probably just use some old stock footage of her running from a decepticon, then she'll suddenly explode for no apparent reason

If you want good story telling the movie should start out with Sam saying "On no! Makayla was a Pretender all along!" The rest of the movie writes itself
