Albator ne se vendait pas 40$ quand c'est sorti. Ça a pris plusieurs années pour descendre Ã* ce prix-lÃ*!

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

OH OH, I forgot to put this in the sightings thread last weekend, but I rather not spill the beans on what I saw unless youre a regular.

It Involved a US/english only type of entertainment pack with a bee, 2 derpy humans and a Skywarp looking Stickscream in a very unlikely store with tacky clothing and overpriced shoes by a train station.

Fiend would probably know where it is, im cruel and I don't want scalpers taking it like a douche canoe. so if you want to address/location and everything, I will gladly PM you the location.

and they're's only one last time I checked, you might have to dig if they fixed up the shelves or anything.

Nope, but i'll give you the location if you want. It's off island so if you don't frequent the West Island a lot, I wouldn't say it's worth it sadly :S

Those have been popping up at Winners stores lately, actually. I've seen a few here in Montreal.

Well, in this case, even more so, since the rights are probably purchased from a French company, who probably secured them from a Japanese company. Local TV likely has fewer middle men (and a broader audience than a robot cartoon from 35 years ago).

Still a pretty insane price.

They secured the rights from Toei Animation in Japan. Took them 10 years!

Wow... well stuff like this always takes a while. Could be the original dubbed masters were in poor shape and needed to be cleaned up. I doubt they could go back to the Japanese originals, since they were probably chopped up a bit for France/Quebec.

I've felt some threats, but nothing really got its claws into me as of yet. Must be all those algae supplements I'm taking.

You've been sick for a while, dude. Must be your tropical blood.
