FanExpo say "Transformers does not have a big enough draw for our show"

Hey Everyone,
There is a Convention up here in Toronto that comes after TFcon every year .
For those who don't know its called Fan Expo Canada its a Convention that brings Comic/SciFi/Horror/Anime And Video Games under one roof .
Now for years Transformers fans up here in Canada were always hoping for something every year and the only big head line we got was back in the day with Pat Lee and Dreamwave.
Not that there is anything wrong with TFcon , but alot of us go to both and hope for something out of Fan Expo .
Well this year a we were let down again this year , No voice actors, No movie stars nothing Transformers .

So one of the Transfans called asking why every year that Transformers gets bigger and bigger , why do they do nothing .
He told them how Transformers covers Anime/Comics/SciFi Movies/Toys and Video Games everything there about .
They responded "Transformers does not have a big enough draw for our show"
So after hearing that a group of us on facebook decided to speak out on there page .

If you wanna help, out post on there facebook here and show them Transformers Matter

Thank you to everyone for your time
Ryan

Wow. With 4 theatrical released movies in 27 years, the latest one hitting over $1 billion, toys on the shelves galore at major stores, a US TF-based convention that attracts how-many thousands of people? Along with TFCon? A tv series on the air now, comics on comic book shelves, several video games, and what else am I missing?

Fan Expo obviously does not think Transformers fans have money or something.

Well, they stuck it to their fans last year, why not alienate fans of a 27 year old franchise as well, right?

Guh.

I hate to say it, but FanExpo is just a mess all around.

Too tired to rant right now.

Honestly, who cares what they think. Think about Fan Expo and the atmosphere it is and you will know the real reason why Transformers ain't there.

The response leaves a lot, and I mean a lot to be desired.

That said when I look their guest line ups I have seen some Transformers guests there over the years that I'd love to meet. Leonard Nimoy, Scott McNeil and the like.

I can ask , he said that he was floored by how rude the guy was from Event Coordination .
He called thinking that they were just going to say something along the lines of we are looking into it for maybe next year .

As for FanExpo I have gone every year since like 99 or 00 . It was where I got my Rhino Transformers DVD set , among other Transformers comics and toys.

My friend got Leonard Nimoy to sign and 8x10 of Galvatron he was kinda taken back when he saw it . I guess he didnt give Transformers Autographs that often .
I will give you Scott McNeil he was awesome even did a custom voice mail for my other friend .

The reason we are doing this online MOBBING on Facebook is because They need to see Transformers does have a fallowing and it is just as big as Star Wars and Star Trek .

However they bring out the whole cast of Lost Girl , and some guy who was on one episode of Smallville and tons of cult stars .

They dont need to have like 20 Transformers guests but like say from G1 Peter Cullen or Frank Walker, Or a movie voice actor . They is no reason they couldn't do something . Even have them sign at the Hasbro booth .

Re: FanExpo say "Transformers does not have a big enough draw for our show"

wow, atleast look at the past decade, transformer fans proberly increased by 78% and in every part of the media. how could you say "Transformers does not have a big enough draw for our show". I think it may over shadow the other stuff and wont get noticed.....I dont think so. It even has its own couple of convenstions just like star trek and starwars

Re: FanExpo say "Transformers does not have a big enough draw for our show"

Must suck to have all these fancy conventions to go to out there. ;P

I'm still amazed we got two consecutive years of Trek cons here... and even then the dealer room had about 6 tables in it!
