I placed preorders in store for one of everything. I hope they can pull through on these. Because I had a couple EB Games orders that were cancelled due to high demand.

It looks like EBGames.ca charged a small deposit for in store pickup preorders. Is that normal?

I've ordered deluxes from their online store and they make you do a deposit.

Do we have to preorder through the store (and not the website) to get the Edge discount price?

To get Edge discount when ordering online you can either:

a.) Order online shipped to your home. Once it arrives you bring in your receipt to get your Edge discount; or

b.) Order online shipped to the store. Once you pick up you'll pay the balance and they'll apply the Edge discount at that time.

Personally I've always been charged. Even my local EB doesn't understand why as they think it's not applicable but their system prompts them too.

yeah i got charged the small deposit for instore pickup too. just did a shipping preorder for 2 others and didnt get the deposit charge.
