Help with QC issue
Hey guys,
After seeing some of the mods people have done, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out. I recently got MP Skywarp, but the Decepticon symbol on the nose cone is messed up. I want to replace it with a sticker symbol, but was hoping to remove the damaged one without messing up the paint underneath. Any ideas?
Thanks all

Re: Help with QC issue
Isn't that just black plastic underneath? You should be able to strip it with some nail polish remover and a qtip. If you don't want to risk damaging it though, why not just place a sticker over the screwed up logo?

Re: Help with QC issue
This is the perfect scenario for the white Staedtler eraser.
Simply, rub the eraser on the deception symbol until it comes off. It will not affect the finish beneath.

I'd be careful with the isopropyl. I've had it discolour underlying paint...not remove it, exactly, but dulling it to the point that it's noticeable. I'd try the erasor method first.

You have to make sure you get the plastic safe stuff, else it can the same effect as nail polish remover. I usually buy mine from a electronic supply store.
