Re: A cool Value Village find ! ^_^

When it comes to G1 I have scored a few in the last year. Grimlock, Breakdown, Mixmaster, Scoop, Detour, Hyperdrive.

Have also nabbed a few from the Unicron Trilogy and Animated.

Re: A cool Value Village find ! ^_^

Picked this up last week and finally got around to taking a picture.

I had always wanted this recolor but never enough to spring for another leader. Unfortunately, it is missing a foot, but nothing else. Weird. But even if I had noticed, I still would have bought it for $4. Even came with the key.

^^Darn it good for you guys... stuff like that doesn't seem to pop up anymore around Vancouver. I went into VV today and saw an Armada Red Alert, butsted up and no parts, for $5.99. The tag was marked with hand writing that said Transformer 2005. Earlier in this week I saw something similar with a Animated Activators Ractchet, priced at $4.99. Looks like VV have pricers around here who either know or think they know transformers. Either way no more prime or cheap finds. Darn it.

Ahh, The VV at 49th and Victoria. I have had a few scores there. I was there today and noticed the Red Alert, a busted up Optimus Primal, and a couple of animated Bumper battlers.

Don't worry, they will always miss the guns or bits which is a better find then a partial bot any day!

Re: A cool Value Village find ! ^_^

lol, I went there too. that guy really fuxing "mark up" and tried to make his knowledge of the toy worth the "value" for VV. I mean, so what is the point that he title those transformers? if little children wants to buy some transformers, why do they want to pay the mark up price because he knows the name of the toys? especially those toys are not G1 or any worth of the value for even collector for the price.

I sure hope so, but what I didn't mention was a tiny bag of a 5-6 energon weapons priced, I think at 3.99, maybe higher. It had Energon downshifts weapons, but nothing else of note, at least to me, and I'm decently versed on G1 weapons.

Just picked up TFTM Scorponok(missing one of his side legs),Energon or Armada (?) Demolisher(missing missiles) and a real G2 Optimus Prime cab(no trailer or weapons) in really good shape. For a grand total of $12.47!

I got a G2 Prime (4.99) in box a few months ago...only missing his sword from VV. I forgot to pick a sword up at TFCON.....

Have to remember to get one next year.
