Star trek in transformers dark of the moon
Has anyone here who has watched dotm noticed that sentiel prime qouted spock from star trek 2 :the wrath of khan when he said " the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" and also when brains and wheele were watching spock on tv? I thought that was priceless!

it's actually not quite an exact quote by spock. it was shared between spock an kirk. spock corrects kirk and says "or the one"

Yeah, a few others...
Sam mentions the office that the bad human guy works/owns looks like the "Starship Enterprise".
Brains while watching an episode of Star Trek says something to the effect "hey it's the one where Spock turns evil" ironically Sentinel (aka Spock) turns evil!

While Star Trek homages was great, I thought they really lost an opportunity of using "Such Heroic Nonence", fits the movie quite well.
Leonard Nemoy is probably the most perfect voice for Sentinel Prime though, so referencing his past work is understandable.

I noticed a snippet from Bumblebee where he says "..my friend" which if I remember right was also from Star Trek II said by Spock at the end. It stood out for me since almost every word from Bee is a Tom Hanks quote.

They could have put more if Kurtzman and Orci were still on board.
I did love it when Sentinel said Spock's fanous quote "The needs of the many outweight the need of the few." And i'm not much of a Star Trek fan.

Yeah I thought that sounded familiar. I guess since it's a Paramount movie they went buck wild on all the Star Trek, or maybe a subliminal way of advertising for the upcoming movie coming next summer?

Makes me wonder what was stopping them from doing so for the first two movies, or were there hidden ST references in those?
