Actually in movie 1, Bee’s radio did say “message from Star Fleet, Captain”.
I always think Orci and Kurtzman spent their time with JJ on Star Trek and Fringe (Nimoy’s there too!) and didn’t have much interest in ROTF. Their original concept of ROTF was supposed to be a much darker sequel like The Empire Strikes Back (The Fallen to Optimus: I am you great great great great grand father!). But during and after the writer strike they somehow either wanted to rewrite or something but Bay pushed thru and the end result is..well you know the rest.

It just occurred to me now, but Sentinel is a Prime with a robotic goatee... and in Star Trek, goatees mean...

But "Such heroic nonsense" isn't a Galvatron quote, Megatron says that just before blowing off Ironhide's head in TF:TM.
