Mr. Clean was the most effective.

Basically they soaked in a weak hot bath of water and pinesol. I attacked them with a toothbrush... which was okay but the magic eraser really abraded that outer layer of crud off. It just doesn't get into the paneling and fine spots.

The figures look worse than the pictures here. But I'm happy with the results. These aren't MISB figures.

Different plastic parts came out differently.
This figures paint came off with the Magic Eraser so you have to be careful.

I'm cleaning up a few more figures.
I'll try and do a before and after in a few days.

Well the Magic Eraser wasn't kind to Powermaster Optimus Prime.
I guess for the metalic foil stickers, it abraded off the ink completely.
This was very hard to clean because of all the webbing and it wasn't so much smoke damaged as it was dirty.
