UNICRON DID I MISS SOMETHING ?

On ebay the 25th anniversary Unicron goes from about $180 to $280. Maybe he plans to flip it?

Pallets of the black Unicron for $10 each? I never even saw ONE of the black Unicrons anywhere that I went in the maritime provinces that year (around 2004).

The only time I EVER saw the black Unicrons was on a trip to Bangor, Maine. That's right, when I LEFT THE COUNTRY.

I guess this goes back to the whole poor distribution thing, they really should have sent a few pallets down to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland.

Oh well, 10 years too late for that now!

if your happy selling at that price then everyones happy thats all that matteres take your cash and run what you could get for them is deturmined by how long you want to wait ......e bay prices are only a guide and of that how many sold as not...

As for hasbros distribution yes it sucks and I wonder how much they lose (credit back to purchaser for unsold murchandise..etc) when these pieces are marked down to that dollar value opposed to if they actully distributed them evenly across the country for all to have a chance to buy.

Never saw black unicron for $10.

He was marked down to $30 + tax at a couple of my local walmarts.

The e-bay price quoted above is right.
I believe it has to do with a distribution issue overseas which we did not encounter in North America.

Not $10 but I remembered I saw a bunch of the black version sitting @ Walmart Deerfoot Mall Calgary for below $30 each (can't recall the exact price) back then. The next week I went they were all gone. I was still kicking myself why don't I pick up at least one, let alone nine...

My question: is it that good of a figure? Unicorn is an awesome character but does the toy do him justice and worth the going rate

I got one of the 25th anniversary ones at TRU when it was on clearance sale for $50. great deal. shiny box (still in the box).
Also have an Armada 1st version from when it came out in 2003. I had been waiting since 1986 for them to make a decent toy of him.

The robot mode is pretty nice with good articulation. However, I don't like the alt/planet mode - it is just a half sphere. Though decent it is not really my favorite TF figure.
