What's wrong with a tank? A gun is a stupid alt mode anyway and there's a bevy of legal problems associated with firearm reproductions they don't want to deal with.

Even if you had a new gun megatron he would still need to be in offensively bright colors AND you wouldn't display him in gun mode... Tank Megatron is at least nailing the look of the robot mode.

just use the united megatron... i fold the wings all the way back and put him between 2 combiners/big bots and you can't even see it
