Hello fellow collectors,
I wanted to share a great find with you!
I recently obtained an item I was looking for since a long time. It's a very rare piece that comes around randomly for sale. I can't believe that I was able to buy it for a reasonable price (less than 150$ CAD). It's the infamous 1983 Combat Robo Gun Majin from Bandai Japan. It's a replica of the Smith & Wesson M-469 pistol.
The last time I saw someone talking about this figure was in
this post, on TFW2005, in 2008.
It's not a “Transformer” per se, but it's from the same 80's golden era. The bot mode is a little weird, I'll give you that, but that's part of the charm of vintage transforming robots. Look at the sides of the head carefully and you'll see some pistols in the design.
The gun mode is fantastic. You can insert the bullets in the clip, as if it was a real gun, and the loaded bullet will eject if you pull the slide! Faces are crafted on every bullets. There are so many small details on this toy!
Here's a picture of the real S&W M-469 pistol, for comparison.
I hope you'll enjoy the pics! I wish you all have a great day!
